INTRODUCTION

The Certified GHG Assurance Professional (CGAP)  programme is an intensive 3-days certification course designed to equip professionals with practical expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting, reporting, and verification aligned with ISO 14064, the GHG Protocol, and IFRS S2.

Pasticipants will gain hands-on knowledge in emissions quantificaation across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, boundary setting, data collection, and audit preparation.

The course integrates global and local disclosure framewors, including Bursa Malaysia's sustainability reporting guide, and culminates in an assessment to certify technical competency.

 LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the program, participants will be able to : 

• Interpret and apply ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, and IFRS S2 requirements in GHG accounting and disclosure.
• Define organizational and operational boundaries for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
• Quantify GHG emissions using activity data and emission factors across relevant categories.
• Prepare GHG inventories and statements with documentation and audit trails.
• Understand assurance requirements under ISO 14064-3 and how verification is conducted.
• Align climate disclosures with Bursa Malaysia’s Sustainability Reporting Guide and IFRS sustainability standards.
• Apply data quality control techniques, handle estimation gaps, and review emission reports for materiality and completeness.
