INTRODUCTION

ISO/IEC 17025 is a standard that sets out specific requirements to be met by laboratories wishing to achieve the production of competent results as a matter of course. These requirements were developed by groups of laboratory experts from around the world over 30 years. Laboratories play an important role in company quality systems. The ISO/IEC 17025 can be used as a standard to develop and establish a quality system for a laboratory & also for assessment by laboratory clients or third parties. The standard can also be used as a criterion for laboratory accreditation. Working according to global standards is especially important for labs to ensure validity & global comparability of test & calibration results.t.
